  • Carries out medical orders from the physician as well as providing nursing care

• Physical Therapy

  • Focuses on strengthening large muscle groups (anything from the waist down) Walking / Sitting / Standing / Stairs etc.

• Occupational Therapy

  • Focus is on improving fine motor skills (anything from the waist up) Ability to hold eating utensils/brushing hair & teeth etc.

• Speech Therapy

  • If necessary, focus is on speech improvement or swallowing ability (typically needed after a patient has suffered from a stroke)

• Respiratory Therapy

  • Focus on ventilator weaning and ventilator management for patients who require mechanical ventilation due to complex conditions such as pulmonary disease or other respiratory conditions.

THRIVE Rehabilitation accepts all major commercial insurance policies, Medicare replacement plans, and Traditional Medicare.

Traditional Medicare covers up to 100 days in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Days 1-20 are covered at 100%. Days 21-100 require payment of a $161.00 copay. Copays may be covered completely or partially by secondary supplemental insurance policies and Medicaid.

It is possible that you may have out-of-network benefits. This is something that our admissions staff regularly checks for and can help you with. We can request single case agreements with your insurance in some cases.

PostAcute Care offer discharge planning from a trained Social Worker/Discharge Planner to assist you (or your loved one) when you are ready to discharge from our facility. Our Social Worker/Discharge Planner will help you prepare to return home and work with your insurance provider and or Medicare to obtain any necessary equipment you may need after returning home.

THRIVE Rehabilitation is part of the Memorial Hermann Preferred Provider Network as well as Houston Methodist’s Medicare Shared Saving Program (MSSP). The Medical Resort is part of Memorial Hermann Hospital Systems’ and Houston Methodist’s Accountable Care Organization (ACO). As part of these ACO’s, we work closely with Memorial Hermann and Houston Methodist to ensure patients receive higher quality care at reduced costs.
